提要：笺谱始于明代萝轩变古笺、十竹斋笺。清初，仍承袭明代遗风。乾隆间怡王府角花笺系清代最为著名之笺纸，光绪间怡府流出数十盒笺纸进琉璃厂，一时众人争购，虽价高但几日便告罄。黄秋岳谓：怡邸有角花笺几种，特别大方、雅妙，此笺晚近真者已罕见。叶恭绰云：所印角花图案即工巧，色泽质淡雅，得者不忍轻用。乾隆年怡王府制角花笺，压花于纸之左下角，套版着色，雅澹精妍，得者宝之。
