提要：是书收诗自洪武至天启及遗民诗，凡一千一十余篇，皆深造浑厚，和平渊雅，有明之诗诚见其陵宋跞元而上追前古也。又钱牧斋、吴晦村诸人归于明晚，编诗之中，微具国史大义。因其所收诸多抗清志士、遗民诗文，故被两江总督奏缴，乾隆四十六年遭禁毁。拍品原函原装，中华书局用上等玉扣纸精印，书品极佳。
