提要：是书系清代经学家毛奇龄四书学集大成之作，为针对朱熹《四书章句集注》所作的批判，开篇即谓“四书无一不错”。因言语犀利过甚，迫于理学正统压力，不得不自毁书版，故康熙原版流传甚少。此本为瓯山金孝柏寻得旧本，于其学圃重刊。书首牌记镌“西河合集/四书改错/嘉庆辛未学圃园刊”，行款依遵康熙原本，并对文字脱误处加以订正。
