提要：是书为清人万寿祺辑录自宋至明各朝珍贵墨品，尤以明墨为富，所论墨法亦精，于墨行款识皆列表详记，便于考索。有吴榷手钞本，鲍廷博欲刊入《知不足斋丛书》未果，清嘉庆十九年（1814）戴光曾藉以手录，并属黄丕烈刊刻。此本为民国时吴昌绶据黄丕烈本影刻，书尾署“吴典沈良玉刻”，挺印甚精，展卷赏心悦目。此书偶有抄本行世，木刻雕版流传极少，此为其一，实为墨集珍籍。
