拍品属光绪宫廷陈设用瓷，在《光绪廿六年庚子大运传办瓷器清单》中第五十五项记载为“五彩红百蝠玉堂春瓶”。
拍品器形稳重，肩部凸起弦纹两道，其间饰粉彩西番莲长寿纹，颈、腹部满绘粉彩云蝠纹，红色蝙蝠于五色祥云间飞舞，形态各异，寓意“洪福齐天”;口沿及胫部分别饰如意云头纹和变形莲辦纹一周。纹饰构图繁密，色彩鲜艳亮丽，局部施以金彩，尽品皇家气息，是为光绪官窑佳器。
