A rare Wanli/Tianqi period dish (early 17th century) for the Japanese Market in mat persimmon glaze decorated in white slip with a blossoming prunus branch with a bird under the full moon.The white high quality body is in sharp contrast with the mat and speckled brown persimmon (iron) glaze.
