Ca. 300-400 AD. A free-blown glass jar of a squat form, characterized by a concave base and a globular body that tapers to an indented neck. The vessel is decorated with a zigzagging, blue trailing along the lower body. These small jars were often used to store cosmetics, oils, and other liquids, as well as small items. The concave base was meant to provide stability and the indented neck line was used to secure a lid or cap.
