本瓶口呈四方倭角形，长颈，鼓腹，腹心突起杏圆，两侧设贯耳，长方形圈足，仿“铁足”特征。通体满施仿官釉，开片超凡脱俗，釉面温润，色泽苍雅静穆，造型古朴，线条舒展流畅，古意盎然。雍正末年唐英撰《陶成纪事碑》载：“兹举其仿古、采今，宜于大小盘、碗、盅、碟、瓶、罍、尊、彝，岁例贡御者五十七种，开列于后以志大概。一仿铁骨大观釉，有月白、粉青、大绿等三种，俱仿内发宋器色泽”，文中将“大观釉”列于诸类仿古色釉之首，可见宫廷对其厚爱与尊崇。
