此盘敞口、弧壁、高圈足。器形高贵典雅，修胎规整端庄。器身施霁红釉，釉汁凝厚，色彩浓艳。高足碗又称靶碗，有中空足封底和不封底两种。造型为口微撇，近底处丰满，下承高足，造型与高足杯颇为相似，较之略大。“霁红”又称祭红，是以铜为着色剂，经1300摄氏度高温还原焰烧制而成。色调深红，似暴风雨后晴空中的红霞，故又名“霁红”。特点是釉汁凝厚，釉面有桔皮纹。霁红釉盛行于康熙、雍正、乾隆三朝。《景德镇陶歌》有载：“官古窑成重霁红，最难全美费良工。霜天晴昼精心合，一样抟烧百不同。”
