此盏形制规矩小巧，周身施黑釉，釉色乌黑，釉面温润柔亮，外壁施釉不到底，圈足白胎。盏口沿棕色，往下渐变为黑色，过渡自然，釉中显现银毫，棕、白、蓝、红等色交融，甚是美观。 兔毫盏是建窑最具代表的产品之一，汉族传统制瓷工艺中的珍品。在黑色釉中透露出均匀细密的筋脉，因形状犹如兔子身上的毫毛一样纤细柔长而得名，民间称“银兔毫”、“金兔毫”、“蓝兔毫”等。此盏即为名贵的“银兔毫”品种。
