此件贯耳瓶为白玉质地，细腻温润，周身净美，色泽统一，宛若凝脂。扁圆形，唇口较厚，颈部略收，两侧有贯耳。器物颈部饰涡纹，器身以夔龙纹（蟠螭纹）为主体纹饰，上下为弦纹和乳钉纹。贯耳瓶之形制，自古即有，宋代金石之风大气，影响后世元明清，清代仿古风气也十分浓厚，此件器物之用料与工艺都具备乾隆时期玉器的典型风格，或为宫廷之物，珍贵非凡。 乾隆晚年，嗜古之癖大作，极力提倡以青铜器为蓝本的仿古器物的制作。对青铜器之型的借鉴，加之当时细致的制作工艺，属于艺术的再创造。
