**Originally Listed At $1500** Native American, Southeast or Midwest, Mississippian, ca. 1150 to 1450 CE. An impressive hand-built pottery vessel boasting a warm hue of sandy brown and a bulbous body with a thick neck and annular flared rim, all sitting upon a round base. The ancient vessel has been skillfully incised in a technique known as Walls Engraved, consisting of a spiraling motif along its body and zigzag striations along its neck. Size: 4.5" in diameter x 5" H (11.4 cm x 12.7 cm) This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full printed and bound report is available to the buyer upon request.
