**Originally Listed At $450** Roman, late Imperial Period to early Byzantine Empire, ca. 4th to 7th century CE. A beautiful brooch comprised of 4 conjoined openwork circles, each with a pair of slender exterior tabs as well as a petite disc protruding from the outermost surfaces. Each annular component features impressed stippling within the obverse surfaces that are accentuated with inlaid cobalt blue enamel, and additional white enamel adorns the surfaces of the protruding discs. Displayed on the verso is a nubbin pin hinge and a pin clasp, and the entire accessory is covered in fine layers of brown and green patina.
