砚盖刻铭：南村先生，予族伯行也。 生平嗜金石 ，家藏甚富， 官江甯北捕通守 。咸丰癸丑殉难金陵 ，所藏多散佚。 岁甲辰，予客白门，偶于古肆中获覯是研。刻刊南村藏研四字 ，确系先生囊日所遗 。亟购以归 携赠文孙 雪门太守。自癸丑 迄今，已阅五十余载 。而物归故主 ，亦金石中一段奇缘也。 太守其永宝之 时光绪丙午夏至前一日程兼善谨跋
