A solid oak showpiece buffet, Wilhelminian period, c. 1880-90, the lower section with two doors, two drawers and two tray pull-outs. Central fluted pilasters with diamonds across, lateral baluster columns with Ionic capitals. Doors with relief-carved, carved cushion fillings, these with egg stick and ashlar diamonds. Top set back, supported by docks, with side niches, two drawers and two central doors. Niches with ornamental balustrade and round-arched end, baluster columns as cornice supports. The top doors with rich ornamentation, among other things longitudinally bisected pinnacles, decorative knobs and scale carving, the panels with fruit basket and festoons, above an open triangular pediment. Cornice crowned by a volute catusche with a ligatured carved monogram AB and carved decorative flanks. Inside one shelf each, ready for living. 258 x 160 x 78 cm.
