此件台座，选用紫檀制作，木质坚实沉穆，木纹华美深沉，包浆浑厚润泽，比例大小适中。紫檀生长缓慢，非数百年不能成材，因此用料殊为难得。整器看面分为上下两层，各设一具抽屉，屉面均采用落堂踩鼓做法，似有四屉，装铜质云纹面叶与云纹吊牌，金属光泽下，紫檀木色更显沉郁。中间设云纹面叶和吊牌用以锁合。
