In his evolution we can appreciate a meticulous and precious treatment of light and colour, taking up the teachings of hyperrealism but filtering this legacy through an intimate optic, resulting in a very personal work centred on the perfect capture of textures. Cormand's work is also characterised by the compilation of versions of great works from the history of art, resulting in artistic remakes inspired by completely different artists, such as Fred Sandback or Philip Guston. Trained in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and currently living in Brooklyn, Marti Cormand considers the city of New York an ideal place for the relationship with emerging artists, a city full of opportunities in which different styles and realities within the art world take place. Throughout her career as an artist she has exhibited in numerous galleries both nationally and internationally, with cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, San Francisco, Toronto and New York standing out.
