此对碗直口弧腹，直圈足，修足规整，造型考究，线条洗练端庄，是为典型宫碗特征。圈足露胎，坚致细洁，碗底双圈书“大清光绪年制”六字双行楷书款。全器施白釉为地，釉面莹润，光亮醇和，匀净细腻，间以描金填色装饰，龙张吻圆目，龙角竖立，须发飘扬，躯干弯曲，遒劲有力，周身火焰灼灼，祥云填饰其间，更显神龙腾云驾雾，凛凛神威，皇室威仪一览无遗。绘制笔触生动，笔意稚拙可爱，感染力极强，方寸之际，神龙跃动，宛若破壁欲出，动感强烈，极为传神。此碗所绘龙纹具有典型的清晚期的时期特点，龙头庞大，鼻部夸张前突呈如意形；龙眼圆睁，眼白面积多，三角形锐利龙眉向上综聚飞起；龙爪壮如车轮，凶悍有力，体现出同时期典型的时代气息。笔意潇洒恣肆，云龙古拙可爱，虽无永乐、宣德盛世威武刚猛之气，却独具意趣，此对碗配色得当，相映生辉，实为佳品。
