Book box with hidden liquor set 2nd half 19th c. Leather with gold embossing also inside, paper, clear glass with gold staffage, bottles of shaped glass with cut stopper. 20 x 27 x 22 cm. Probably casket built using old books (eg, "Enciclopedie Methodique"). Opened appear 2 decanters with 6 jars (of original 8) Signs of age/use, chips on one stopper, 2 jars with chips, 1 of which with a small crack.
