An Etruscan red-figure oinochoe, Ca. 300 BC, South Etruria, A so-called Etruscan Shape VII oinochoe decorated with three large profile female heads and a palmette below the vertical strap handle. Probably made at Caere (Cerveteri) and painted by the Populonia Painter (of the Torcop Group), an artist active at the end of the 4th century BC. H 27.5 cm, Right side (as seen from behind) of lip restored, otherwise intact. Provenance: -Collection of Art Historian Prof. Dr. Albert Blankert, The Hague. -Bought in 2008 from Archea Ancient Art (Amsterdam). -Before: ex collection I.Pagnini, Amsterdam, 1970’s. Cf.
