A Magna Graecian red-figure owl skyphos, 4th century BC, Greek South-Italy, Decorated on each side with an owl, head turned to face front, standing between two sprays of olive leaves on a reserved ground line. H 7.3 cm. W (handle to handle): 14.9 cm. Condition: repaired crack, otherwise intact. Provenance: -Collection of Art Historian Prof. Dr. Albert Blankert, The Hague. -Purchased in 2000 at TEFAF Maastricht from Galerie Cahn (Basel). Cf.
