Translation provided by Youdao
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A skillfully hand-built redware male figure, sitting with his left knee raised and his right leg bent before him, his left hand placed on his left thigh, and his right arm bent at the elbow, this elbow resting upon his upraised knee and the right hand crossing his chest to touch his left shoulder. He gazes forward with wide-open eyes flanking his long, slender nose, and an open mouth revealing delineated teeth. While nude with visible genitalia, he does wear multiple earrings and a fitted cap upon his characteristically elongated head. The terracotta surface is finished with a rich red slip surface; however, the eyes and mouth are unpainted providing a nice contrast.
