此件韵味醇厚且精雅的观音坐像，头戴花卉宝冠，正面有化佛——阿弥陀佛，为观音菩萨身份的重要标识。大耳垂肩，宝缯飞扬，面相清秀俊朗，眉间白毫，弯眉细长，杏目含苞，鼻梁挺拔，鼻头精巧，双目微启，相好庄严。上身袒露，装饰简洁的连珠长链，宽肩细腰，给人以凛凛堂堂伟岸端庄之感。左手腹前施禅定印，右手身前结说法印，全跌迦坐于仰覆莲式须弥座上，莲台高大，莲瓣颀长，瓣尖方正，排列舒朗，时代特征鲜明。
观世音菩萨于无量劫前，久已成佛，号正法明。但以悲心无量，慈誓莫穷，故复于十方世界，现菩萨及人、天、凡、圣等身，以施无畏，而垂济度。普门品所谓，应以何身得度者，即现何身而为说法。此尊观音坐像面相丰圆，神态庄肃，法身姿态优美，极为大气。如凝望之，可感挣脱苦闷，化繁为简，怡神静心之境
