帽筒原为置帽之器，自乾隆朝以后器形逐渐演变，发展为类似花瓶的陈设器，兼具实用与观赏功能。
该帽筒直口，筒腹，圆身，平底，形制规整，通体罩施霁蓝釉为地，口沿处绘描金双圈纹，下饰如意云纹，外壁金彩描绘团花纹，有花鸟、动物及杂宝等吉祥图案，足部绘莲瓣纹，纹样精细清晰，色彩富丽，开光轮廓亦以金彩描摹。蓝釉沉静，金彩亮丽，彰显宫廷御用华美堂皇之气韵，时代特征鲜明。
