此件香臺裝飾手法為日本漆藝工匠發展出具備本國特色的 「蒔繪」，蒔繪技法以金、銀屑加入漆液中，幹後做推光處理，顯示出金銀色澤，極盡華貴，有時並以螺鈿、銀絲嵌出花鳥草蟲或吉祥圖案，蒔繪講究雕琢之功，裝飾細膩，傾向於對自然景色的描繪，山川、千鳥、藤、櫻等事物無不體現著日本特有的審美情趣。此件拍品臺面上繪有瀑布與花卉，具有動感氛圍。從桌面到桌角沒有一處留白，看上去極富麗堂皇，令人心生向往。
