A Chinese famille rose rectangular vase dating from the late 19th century. Each of the larger sides features framed scenes with varying subject matter including landscapes and scholarly objects, and each scene has an inscription with one seal. The shorter sides have beast head handles holding engaged rings. One of the short sides has two inscriptions with one seal, while the other has two inscriptions with two seals. Dimensions are: 16 inches tall X 7 3/4 inches long X 4 1/2 inches wide, 40.6 cm X 19.7 cm X 11.4 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a chip to the rim and a glaze defect to one corner of the shoulder. Glaze wear throughout. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
