A pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain hat stands dating from the late 19th century. Both are decorated with scenes of children at play interspersed with quatrefoil cut-outs. Each stand has a 4-character mark on the bottom. Dimensions are: 11 1/8 inches tall X 5 inches in diameter, 28.3 cm X 12.7 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Both hat stands have two cracks with glaze chipping. One hat stand has a chip to the rim along one crack. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece after its initial manufacture as diligently as possible; however, as stated in our terms, condition reports are statements of opinion and not representations or warranties. Oakridge Auction Gallery bears no responsibility for any error or omission. Provenance: From Mrs. Tsou in the Washington, D.C. area. The items in this collection were inherited from her late husband's family. The lot comes with a copy of provenance documentation. Notes: High resolution photos can be found here.
