Jack Heuer made a sponsorship deal with the Swiss sportscar and Formula 1 ace and in 1969 he wore a white dial Autavia on his wrist. The original Autavia worn by Siffert featured the word chronomatic underneath 12. Siffert's career was brought to a sudden and tragic end in 1971 when his BRM crashed at Brands Hatch and caught fire with drastic consequences.
