School of Auguste Rodin (1840-1917), Attributed to Mania Kacer (1870-1970), Bust of a man, 1913, France, Bronze, signed to the left 'Paris 1913' and the initials "MK', with impressed foundry mark 'MONTAGUTELLI FRES CIRE PERDUE PARIS'. Mania Kacer (or Kačer) was a pupil of Rodin and was active as both a painter and a sculptor. She sculpted in a naturalistic style. Born in Warsaw and of Czech and German descent, she exhibited at The Salon d'Automne in October 1909. The bust is founded by the Montagutelli brothers, who also produced busts and statuettes for Rodin. 32 x 13 x 11 cm, Some oxidation, in good state,
