A German stoneware jug, 1618, Westerwald, The baluster shaped jug with mounted pewter lid with scallop-shell thumbpiece, decorated with seven different scenes around the body and finished with cobalt blue coloured paint. Dated 'Anno 1618' around one of the columns. H 33.5 cm, A large chip on the footrim, natural manufacturing flaws as to be expected, otherwise in good condition.
