拍品形制特殊，体小但入手沉重，小口可楔入木柄，圜底不施釉，便于捶药。外壁饰金钱、龟背两种锦纹，开光内绘玉兔，青花色泽浓艳。古代传说月宫中有玉兔，持玉杵跪地捣药，制成蛤蟆丸，服用可长生成仙。拍品药槌以玉兔为饰，有药到病除、健康长寿之意。
