玉琮首创于良渚文化，为高等级贵族所有，是沟通天地人神的礼器，集宗教、装饰、礼仪、权力于一体，是礼器的核心，酝酿着良渚先民的宇宙观念和精神信仰。
此琮式勒为内圆外方的柱体，分为上下两节，面上雕刻对称兽面纹，刻划手法以阴线为主，纹饰以手工直接雕刻，细密规整。
提油是慕古与仿古的一种表现手法，此琮式勒为老提油，可配戴于胸前与腰间配饰或茶席上的置物之用，兼备实用与赏玩价值。
