华颖壶是顾景舟先生根据传统壶体演变所创作品，名为华颖。在古汉字中没有“花”字，“花”为后世字，故而古时文人将“花”亦用“华”代之，华颖所表达的已经极为招展的花意。华颖壶摘手圆、盖圆、壶身圆、三圆垒迭在圆壶底上，分外精神，遥望犹如花苞初绽，顾老以一朵半开的花苞为意，基于掇球壶的基础上，加以取舍和扬弃，创出此造型，又与清末陈鸿寿所创曼生十八式中的乳鼎壶遥相呼应。
