“清德堂”为清初著名文物鉴赏家宋荦（1634-1713）堂号。宋荦，字牧仲，号漫堂，又号津山人，晚号西陂老人，河南商丘人。宋权子，以萌仕官至吏部尚书，博学嗜古，工诗词古文，与王士祯齐名。善水墨兰竹，超妙工致，精鉴赏，收藏名迹甚富，爱好壶艺。此壶紫泥为胎，皮壳丰润，颗粒明显，器型稳重大方，三弯流流、圈把、鼓腹、珠钮挺拔别致，工艺修饰精到。在壶身饰以粉彩点缀，实为典型清中期佳器。
