此壶紫泥为胎，壶身分作两节，流、把、钮均塑成竹节状，生动形象，三弯流嘴，壶把用两竹缠绕制成，壶流、壶把壶钮各伸出一节嫩枝，贴以数片竹叶，逼真自然，宛若生成。此壶制作随意自然，如信手拈来，远视整器质朴，浑然天成，其技艺功法凸显扎实的制作功底。松竹梅题材向来为制器者所钟爱，作者常用其来表明自己的志趣喜好，故要做好有体现自己的风格实属不易。
