One of Brenner's later works from 1920, this bronze medal was also called The Lick Telescope Medal for the reverse content. The Obverse has Warner and Swasey in profile with Worcester Redd Warner | Ambrose Swasey and 1880-1920 at the bottom. The reverse has the Lick Telescope with The Warner & Swasey Co. on the left and Cleveland Ohio on the right. There was an apparent production of @ 300 medals and this has #229 on the edge. Both Warner and Swasey were mechanical engineers who loved astronomy - both served as President of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. This is the original Medal as there was a later production that had Warner birth and death dates on the obverse Smedley #117.
