Late 18th-century oak bureau, flap opening to reveal fitted interior, central cupboard flanked by six stationery compartments and eight small drawers, lower section with four graduated drawers, each with original brass bail handles, steel locks, cock-beading, the whole piece standing on original bracket feet. width 91cm (36"), depth 51cm (20"), height 104cm (41") Condition report: Flap with slight warp, original key to flap, brown oak drawer linings, top drawer supporting presentation plaque "For the marriage of a Mr. Ratcliffe in 1921.
