The male elk come down the forest edge offering a series of vocalizations for the mountains to echo across the sky and lands. He seems as though he is on a mission to find a mate. His large antlers will be used for sparring (antler wrestling) with another male to gain the rights of dominance and courtship with the desired female. The handmade bronze sculpture was cast using the age-old method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for perpetuation and is mounted upon a marble base.
