The censer is raised on a base with cylinder leg and decorated with three elephant heads，carved around the compressed globular body in low relief with a band of archaistic designs, and flanked by a pair of elephant handles to each side. The domed cover is carved taotie masks in profile, and surmounted by a hollowed flaring finial with phoenix. The stone is of an even white tone with areas of mottled inclusions.
