The censer is raised on three tapered legs and carved around the compressed globular body in low relief with a band of archaistic taotie masks divided by notched flanges, and flanked by a pair of handles to each side. The domed cover is carved withscrolling lotus patterns in profile, and surmounted by a hollowed flaring finial. The stone is of an even white tone with areas of mottled inclusions.
