本件藏印由一整块紫檀木雕刻而成，主要分为两部分，印上部为一宝珠型印纽，印纽阳刻云头纹，印纽下为一圈圆形束腰，其下为方形印身，印身上部为一圈舟型覆莲纹饰装饰，其下镶嵌一块厚重的天铁印面，印面为正方形，上有文字。 藏印的制作在西藏地区有着悠久的历史，一般认为从吐蕃时期开始西藏便有了用印的传统，早期的藏印一般与封泥配合使用，多用作书信、公函的密封上。藏族古印章艺术同样来源于生活，反映着生活，这些寓意丰富的雕刻艺术，多是在方寸之内方圆之上展现。
