A Chinese famille rose dragon bowl dating from the Republic period. The interior features five dragon roundels on a red swirl ground with ruyi clouds. The exterior features four dragons flying among ruyi clouds above a wave motif on a red linear ground. There is a 6-character mark on the turquoise-glazed bottom. Dimensions are: 3 1/2 inches tall X 8 1/8 inches wide, 8.9 cm X 20.6 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is one chip to the base and two chips to the rim.
