A Chinese famille rose jar made by Liang Kengtang in the 19th century that has been converted into a lamp. The lid and body of the jar feature a landscape scene with two inscriptions, each inscription with one seal. Dimensions are: the vase measures 11 inches tall X 5 1/2 inches wide, 27.9 cm X 14 cm, while the lamp measures 22 inches tall X 6 inches wide, 55.9 cm X 15.2 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a large crack to the rim of the jar. There is significant chipping to the lid. Provenance: From Mr. Gariti in Madison, Wisconsin. A family heirloom.
