A pair of Chinese famille rose planters dating from the 19th century. The exteriors are decorated with repeated flower motifs bordered above by ruyi and below by stylized leaves. Dimensions are: 9 1/2 inches tall X 9 3/8 inches wide, 24.1 cm X 23.8 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: One planter has a firing crack to the base and iron pitting and glaze chipping to the rim. Both are in overall good condition. Provenance: From a Connecticut estate.
