A pair of Chinese Mughal style jadeite marriage bowls with 4-character marks of Qianlong and of the period with Zitan wood stands. Each features a pair of stylized bat handles holding engaged rings. The interiors feature roundels of lotus tracery. Dimensions are: 1 3/4 inches tall X 9 1/2 inches wide, 4.4 cm X 24.1 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: One washer has two cracks. The other washer was broken and has been repaired with staples. Provenance: From a private Long Island, New York collection. A similar example of one bowl with loop handles can be found at the Palace Museum in Beijing.
