A Chinese blue and white hexagonal floor vase dating from the 19th century. It features a boating landscape scene with mountains. There is an inscription on one side, and the foot is adorned with bamboo motifs. The handles are in the form of guardian lions with cubs. Dimensions are: 23 inches tall X 10 inches wide, 58.4 cm X 25.4 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are a repair and a firing crack to the rim. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
