A Chinese celadon-ground blue and white floor vase dating from the 19th century. The vase features a Qilin and phoenix among ruyi clouds. The handles are in the forms of guardian lions with cubs. The bottom has a sticker reading, "Made in the People's Republic of China." Dimensions are: 23 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 58.4 cm X 20.3 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The bottom has star cracks. There is loss to one handle. The rim has a hairline. There is an iron pit to the Qilin. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area.
