A Russian silver gilt and shaded cloisonné enamel bowl, Feodor Rückert, Moscow, 1899-1908. The bulbous circular bowl with raised drop-shape panels outlined with cable borders and enameled with brightly-colored stylized tulips in shades of magenta, red, purple, and white against alternating grounds of pale blue, celadon green, and pale mottled peach, all reserved against a forest green ground with red and white foliate motifs. The underside struck with maker's mark and 84 silver standard, and with a dedicatory inscription, probably in honor of a housewarming, dated 1903. Dimensions: 1 7/8" h x 3 1/4" dia. (4.8 x 8.3 cm).
