A Norwegian gilded silver and plique-a-jour enamel Viking boat bowl, Marius Hammer, circa 1900. Of traditional form, the boat enameled with red translucent enamel flowerhead shields above bands of green holly flowers and blue and yellow pansies relieved by grounds of pale blue or lavender, the dragon's head with outstretched tongue, the brightly-colored tail fan shaped, the interior enameled strawberry red over a hatched ground, raised on an oval foot finished with panels of translucent enamel.
