A Russian silver gilt and plique-a-jour enamel charka, Ivan Khlebnikov, Moscow, late 19th century. In traditional 16th- and 17th-century form, the body and shaped, flat handle pierced and enameled with an intricate pattern of stylized flowers within scrolls in brightly coloredplique-a-jour, the pattern outlined in bright engraving, raised on domed circular foot. Struck with maker's marks, 84 silver standard, and hallmark with date obscured. Length: 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm).
